This whole Polanski thing

Just thought I would weigh in real quick.

He's a brilliant director. He has been through concentration camps and the murder of his pregnant wife and has thus suffered more than any person ever should.

He also raped a 13-year old girl. All previous statements made are therefore moot.

I seriously do not understand why people think he is being treated unfairly. Although I would love to discuss it with anyone who does.

And if anyone is confused as to what I'm talking about, go here, the source of all information forever and always

You know what I think. Thank you.

For famous figures and controversial issues, Wikipedia is a mess as writers try to outdo each other with opinions, assertions, misrepresentations, and plain out incorrect facts. I wouldn't put much credence on that entry (nor others, outside of the sciences)

but yet there are those who would argue that all fiction is based on fact, as this seems to undoubtedly be. and don't think the sciences are safe either, thanks to the wonder that is open editing. michelangelo and da vinci dabbled in things that we would hardly stand by today, despite their genius. should we be surprised that simply lining the pockets of polanski and west fails to elevate them to any kind of real super humanity?
