Shirts that I've seen

Back in fall quarter I was in the college bookstore trying to return stuff past the deadline and I saw a guy wearing a Stalin t-shirt. I assume it was meant to be ironic since despite liberal students' obsession with all things communist, I doubt even us pinkos would be infatuated with someone like Joseph Stalin. Che Guevara, sure, but Stalin seems rather extreme. As far as irony goes, Stalin is generally regarded to be nearly as evil as Hitler and not even the most pretentious art student in the world would dare pull of a Hitler t-shirt. So what's up with Stalin? Or do students just hear communist leader and think "YES! I will wear him on a shirt and people will think I'm worldly and open-minded!" Although on that note, I haven't really seen Mao Zedong or Kim Jong Il staring back at me from anybody's chest either. So again I ask, why Stalin?

***And before anybody leaves a reaaally long comment about how Stalin actually killed way more people than Hitler, I know this. But Hitler is still regarded as the more evil one.

Another disturbing one was about a month ago on the metro. I've tried to find it online but can't. At first glance the shirt looks like a McDonald's logo, except that the arches are the pathways of two planes, that end at two twin towers. Underneath it said "Eat This". Now this guy may very well have not been aware of what his tshirt was depicting. A few days ago I saw a very butch guy wearing a shirt that said "Your boyfriend likes me in this shirt", and I'm pretty sure he had no clue what it actually said. But the metro t-shirt was primarily just a drawing so I can't imagine that it would really escape someone's comprehension. And while I might understand someone wearing that shirt in, say, Iran, it really stood out in Santiago.

That is all. Thoughts?
