The education system in Chile is MESSED UP

I am so used to the straightforward American system. You get to pick your classes MONTHS in advance. There is (usually) only one campus. When you arrive for your first day of class the professor is there. In the rare case that there is a room change, they actually let you know. They are able to post the hours and days your class meets so you can actually...wait for it...plan out your course load.

This is so stressful. We have two weeks to decide whether or not we want to take a class, but the likelihood of a professor showing up during those two weeks is pretty slim. Also La Chile has a strike EVERY YEAR, which means our finals will be postponed, which means planning any sort of travel is like playing russian roulette.

I am so ready to be flexible in terms of my living arrangements and pretty much anything else but I am trying to graduate in 4 years here, people. A little help?
